School Leadership - Academic Support Coordinator

Why did you come to Louisiana Key Academy?
I wanted to support a public school that would provide a free and appropriate education for dyslexic students. This is something I have wanted to do for many years.

What's your favorite thing about teaching?
Seeing students be successful, especially when they have not been in the past. I also like the creative problem solving that is an important part of language therapy.

What was your favorite subject in school?
I didn't have just one. I especially like math, science, and English.

What's your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with mountains.

When I'm not at school, I like to...
Read, cook ethnic foods, sew, volunteer, exercise, learn new things, work on Spanish, French, or genealogy, hang out with family and friends, watch old British movies.

What's your perfect pizza?
Lots of vegetables, including artichoke hearts, with traditional red sauce and minimal cheese.

What's your favorite book? Why?
Don't have one in particular, but I generally prefer classical over modern literature. I do love Jane Austen, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Roald Dahl, and Dr. Seuss.

Who is your hero?
After Jesus Christ himself, it would have to be either John the Apostle or Moroni and his father.

What's the weirdest thing about you?
I absolutely love cats. It runs in my family. We are also book-a-holics.
